I got my start in broadcasting at the college radio station; 1965. From there, I was snatched up by the ABC Network News Special Events Unit. I learned TV production and worked on the Gemini space shots. But, I really got my RADIO start by putting a speaker in the tree in front of my Grandparents home where I lived after my parents divorced. I was "broadcasting" after school by using my Wollensak Stereo Tape Recorder, Model; T1515-4 and a radio who's speaker I'd tapped into... I mixed between a microphone, the tape recorder and Radio, thanks to a passive mixer that fed the input of the tape machine with PA function; circa 1959.
